I ended my 2025 sick and started 2026 sick.

I'm very superstitious. I always have been. Since I was little, I've always put my biggest life decisions in the hands of a Magic 8 Ball or have taken the wisdom of every Zoltar I've ever fed a dollar, to heart.

Out of curiosity, I did a quick google search to see if being sick on New Years Eve means good fortune in the upcoming year. Lore says rain on your wedding day is a sign of a healthy marriage so I assumed this must be a similar case. It is not.

Supposedly, in many cultures, it's considered a bad omen and that "the state of health at the start of the year predicts your health for the next 12 month". BUT, upon deeper research, I found a Tik Tok video with about 38 views saying it's good and it relates to cleansing and personal growth.

I usually would turn towards the wisdom of ancient cultures but perhaps they are outdated with this one.
